Make money easily by selling your crafts online

There are many different online avenues for selling crafts of all kinds and numerous customers waiting to buy. When you enjoy doing crafts, whether it is knitting, crocheting, woodworking or some other kind of craft as a hobby, there is always the potential to make money doing something that you find relaxing. Home decor products are big sellers and what better place to sell them than online!

By advertising your crafts on the Internet, you can attract customers from all over the world. You don't have to set up tables at a flea market or other venue and can sell from your own home. You do, however, have to allow for shipping costs when selling online and therefore you should have a shipping rate included as a cost in addition to the cost of the item.

Instructions
Step 1
Set up a website

One way of selling your crafts online is to set up your own website. There are many types of online hosting services available at very inexpensive rates and when you purchase a domain name, no one else can use the same website name to compete with you. With a website you can arrange to take credit cards or use another company that will do so for you for a monthly fee or a percentage of each transaction.

Step 2
Set up a lens on Squidoo

If you are not sure how well your crafts will sell online and don't want to make a financial investment right away, consider setting up a lens on Squidoo. In this way you can write descriptions of different craft items that you make and include a photo of each one. Provide the cost of each item and the shipping charge for the customers. You can arrange to have the customer pay by Paypal so that you don't have to bother with taking credit cards online.

By creating a lens page advertising various crafts, you can also sell crafts for your friends and family members and charge a commission for doing so.

Step 3
Set up an Etsy account

Etsy is the online craft market of choice for most crafters. An account is simple to create and once you do, you can sell as much as you want. A photo accompanies each item and you don't have to bother with credit card transactions because the payment is sent to your Paypal account. When you receive the order, you just send it to the customer.

Step 4
Sell on Ebay

Ebay is another outlet for selling crafts online. Here, too, it is free to set up an account as a seller. You do need to have a Paypal account for the transactions.

Simply enter your ad for Ebay and add a photo. You will soon have customers emailing you about the items and wanting to buy more of your products.

If you are wanting to sell crafts online that you make in arizona you should check out http://www.azcraze.com/. They allow you to sell up to 250 products (you can have as many in stock of an item as you want) for only $5 a month or $50 a year. Unlike etsy.com you are just charged the low monthly/yearly rate. They do not take any commission of the products you sell. You keep 100% of the purchase price. Your money from the sales gets paid directly your paypal account. They never keep it!
